Its a recirculating ecological system ,when the fish defecate there are some bacteria that break this manuere into nutrients that the plants intake and clean the water, falling back into the tank as healthy water for the fish., Ideally these systems are for tilapia and leafy vegetables like lettuce , basil , spinach, but its only a matter of time to see awesome things growing in these systems. It is supposed to be a new technology but it was used for many many years in Peru by the Incas and in Mexico by the Mayas! Dont be left behind, start growing your own organic food and fish!!
